Hometown Christmas Traditions
The Christmas season in Marionville is filled with cherished hometown traditions that bring families and neighbors together in celebration. Each year, The Bank of Billings hosts a free evening with Santa and his “Deere,” featuring professional photos with Santa, festive treats from local vendors, decorated tractors are on display, and special appearances by Sparky the Fire Dog.
In 2025, Marionville Applefest introduced the first annual Christmas tree lighting on the downtown square, held the same evening as Santa and his Deere. Families enjoyed Christmas games, hot chocolate, letters to Santa, a towering community Christmas tree, and a beautifully lit Candy Cane Lane.
Continuing a beloved tradition, Marionville Applefest also hosts the annual Christmas Parade, featuring Santa and his elves. The evening concludes with the telling of the Christmas story, gifts for children, refreshments, and photos with Santa—creating lasting memories and celebrating the true spirit of the season.
