Marionville is proud home of the Comets, where athletics are a cornerstone of community life. From packed Friday night football games to a long-standing basketball tradition, Marionville teams have earned multiple state championships and tournament appearances across several sports. In 2025, the community celebrated major upgrades to its athletic facilities—including new turf baseball and softball fields, a donated turf football playing surface, and an upgraded field house that enhance student-athlete experience and community pride. These investments reflect Marionville’s commitment to excellence on and off the field, making sports, and life in Marionville even more exciting for families and fans alike.
