Marionville Applefest

Marionville Applefest is one of the town’s most cherished annual traditions, bringing residents and visitors together to celebrate community, heritage, and small-town pride. For 37 years, Applefest has been held on the third weekend of September, filling downtown Marionville with local vendors, food, crafts, live entertainment, and activities for all ages. The festival reflects Marionville’s welcoming spirit and remains a favorite gathering time for families, alumni, and visitors returning home.

Free Kids Space

One of the most popular parts of Marionville Applefest is the free kids space, created to give families a place where children can play, explore, and be entertained throughout the day. This area features inflatables, hands-on activities, and special shows designed just for kids, all at no cost. It’s a safe, fun-filled space where laughter and excitement are always in abundance, making Applefest a tradition that truly offers something for every generation.

Marionville Applefest Pageant

The Marionville Applefest Pageant is a cherished part of the annual Applefest celebration, honoring local youth and community members while promoting confidence, character, and hometown pride. Open to participants from toddler age through high school, the pageant offers age-appropriate categories that celebrate individuality and community involvement in a fun, supportive environment.

Pageant Categories Include:

  • Tiny Miss Apple Seed (12–23 months)

  • Tiny Miss Apple Fritter (2–3 years)

  • Miss Sweety Apple (4–Pre-K, 5 years)

  • Miss Apple Dumpling (Kindergarten, ages 5–7)

  • Miss Candy Apple (ages 8–11)

  • Miss Apple Blossom (ages 12–14 / Junior High)

  • Miss Applefest (ages 14–18 / Senior High)

In addition, local ladies 65 years and older are invited to participate for the honor of becoming Marionville Applefest Ms. Golden Delicious, celebrating lifelong community involvement and tradition.

The Applefest Pageant reflects Marionville’s family-friendly spirit and continues to be a meaningful tradition for participants and spectators alike.
