Spotting the white squirrels.
One of Marionville’s most unique features is its famous population of white squirrels. Locals often hear visitors say, “I can never find the white squirrels!” To help with that, a local resident has taken on the mission of creating a map highlighting common areas where they are often seen.
White squirrels are most frequently spotted during the morning hours, especially near the marked locations on the map. If you move slowly, stay quiet, and remain patient, you may be rewarded with sightings of several throughout town.
While there’s no guarantee—these squirrels are wild and free—part of the joy is the search itself. Keep your eyes open, enjoy the walk, and you just might spot one of Marionville’s most beloved residents.
